The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. US could not beat the Taliban but thinks it can take on China-Russia-Iran...a sign of psychopathology for sure. We must all do more to help stop this western corporate arrogance that puts the future generations lives in despair. @BruceKGagnon

Mira Leslie Presente!

We learned yesterday that our friend Mira Leslie has just passed away from cancer.  Mira was devoted to the peace movement and particularly to supporting and walking with the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist monk Senji Kanaeda based on Bainbridge Island near her home in Seattle, Washington.

Just last January I walked with Mira and others connected with Nipponzan Myohoji when about 30 people from the US went to Okinawa for a week to do peace walks there and stand with the local people who are opposing existing and new US military bases on that beleaguered island that currently has 32 American bases on it.

Twice in the past three years Mira joined Senji Kanaeda when he came to Maine to lead peace walks through our state.  During these peace walks Mira became a dear friend.  I am certain she will be missed by the friends she made in Maine as well as by her many friends in Washington state.

Mira Leslie presente!

She was one of the nicest people I've ever met and she really put her heart and soul into our Peace Walks. She had such a warm heart, I'm sad to hear this and wish we could have done more peace walks with her in the future. :) Thank you Mira !
