The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. US could not beat the Taliban but thinks it can take on China-Russia-Iran...a sign of psychopathology for sure. We must all do more to help stop this western corporate arrogance that puts the future generations lives in despair. @BruceKGagnon

It's because they can, preferring to live in a world of "Us and Them", discarding their humanity, and choosing ignorance, greed and hate over truth, justice, and love.

When you say "It's because they can"....I assume you are talking about Israel....You were not clear.

My question is called a rhetorical question....a cry out if you will....brought on by intense feelings of seeing the mother and father in such pain over the loss of their innocent child.

No I am not stupid, I just assume the visitors to the blog can figure some things out for themselves......

I certainly do NOT see you as stupid. Far from it. I apologize if my apparent lack of written skills in ANY way implied that. I love and respect your work, in ALL its manifest venues.

In your sense, my response was also rhetorical, brought on by my intense feelings. sorry.

In response to your question, yes the Israelis. I deleted my intro narrative, also thinking the nine minute clip would make that clear. I didn't think I needed to make it clear that I see the IDF as murderers, the facts speak for themselves. (But not ALL IDFs or Jews, as they have members of peace and decency that are as horrified as you and i).

What i deleted said, "whether Nazis or Jews, Madam Albright or Governor Richardson, Gen. Westmoreland or BOTH Gen. Schwartzkopfs," and perhaps a half dozen others before i stopped and deleted.

The intent of my post WAS to extend who can, so I wished to extend that, in particular to the United States.

If one looks at the body counts in Iraq:US, the ratio for the Iraqis is even worse than the 100:1 death ratio in Gaza:Israel. Both are reprehensible and depict humanity at its most depraved.

Did the US government not lay the groundwork for BOTH the recent Gaza cruelty, and for 9-11? Israel is a sovereign country, and perhaps our influence should start with reviewing not only our military support of Israel, but also our military aggression EVERYWHERE, including even in our schools, and holidays celebrating the soldier as hero.

PS And I hope my lack of direct acknowledging of the parents plight didn't show disrespect for the horror the parents went through, losing their child (appropriately named “Injustice”) needlessly, out of Israeli selfishness.

In peace and kindness.

Perhaps Obama is getting the understanding that military involvement in AFPAK is counterproductive?
